The case of typical form has pad feet and is veneered in choice rosewood. There is a glass in the top to view the balance wheel escapement.
The finely made movement has 4 turned pillars, a balance wheel escapement, maintain power and a time regulation lever on the backplate. The 4” silvered dial has engraved foliage corners and is fully signed and numbered.
Charles Frodsham one of England’s most celebrated makers died in 1871. A maker of fine precision regulators, chronometers and domestic clocks. The firm continued under his name.
