The fine rosewood case has a gadrooned top and finial, fish-scale side frets, carrying handles, front door with top corner fans and bun feet.
The 8-day bell striking movement is of heavy construction with anchor escapement, 5 well turned pillars, pendulum with above bob regulation and a holdfast. There is a pull repeat facility.
The 5 ½ ” shaped top silvered dial has moon hands, strike-silent, and is beautifully engraved with flowers and foliage. Below 6 is a signature “Christie Chancery Lane, London”.

This clock was probably made by William Christie who was working in London from 1825 – 81.
