The iron and brass bird cage movement has an anchor escapement, it retains its original wheel and metalwork including its hooks & spikes. The hours are struck via a countwheel on a large bell.
The 9” dial has brass corner spandrels, a chapter ring with early ½ hour markers and a fine single hand. The dial centre is most beautifully engraved with flowers and foliage and inside and outside borders.
A fine rare clock.
