The inverted bell top case with brass carrying handle is veneered in walnut, has front and side frets, arched side windows and sits on small shaped feet. The walnut veneers are of a nice warm colour.
The fine 8-day twin fuse movement has 5 turned pillars, verge escapement, strikes the hours on a bell and a pull repeat facility strikes the ¼’s on 6 bells and the hours on one. It has a most beautiful backplate with birds, flowers and foliage engraving. The 7” dial has corner and arch spandrels, an engraved signature dial in the arch, a strike – silent facility, a date aperture and a mock pendulum. There is a finely matted centre and fine hands.
